Traveler’s Guide to What to Wear in Turkey
If you‘re sticking to the Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, light cotton fabrics are best for summer, with a cardigan or light jacket for the chillier evenings. Plan on wearing warmer clothing for the Black Sea, Central and Eastern Anatolia regions. Women will want to keep a headscarf on hand for popping into mosques and other sacred sites. Comfortable shoes are a must, especially if archeological sites are on the itinerary.
